How "today" works on this site
Match days are calculated against your local calendar date, not UTC and not the venue's local date. So if a kickoff is at 02:30 in your timezone on Wednesday morning, this page lists it on Tuesday in some other zone — but for you it appears here on Wednesday, because that's the day you'd actually be turning the TV on.
The colours on each card use the same algorithm as the main schedule: green if the match falls inside your viewing windows, amber if it's tight, red if you'd be at work or asleep, blue if it's a 0–5 AM die-hard session. Use the Set Your Hours button in the header to define when you're available.
How to use this page during the tournament
- Bookmark it. Once the tournament starts on 11 June, this page rebuilds itself every time you load it. No accounts, no notifications, no app to install — just open it in the morning and you'll see what kicks off in your day.
- Refresh for live status. The site auto-refreshes every minute when matches are within five hours of kickoff so the live badge appears as soon as a game starts.
- Tap any card to expand venue details, both teams' capital-city kickoff times, and the rich match preview.
- Group-stage runs 11–27 June. Then the new Round of 32 (28 June – 4 July), Round of 16 (5–7 July), quarter-finals (9–11 July), semi-finals (14–15 July), third-place match (18 July), and the final at MetLife Stadium on 19 July.
Why no matches today?
If the page above shows nothing, it's because there are no World Cup 2026 fixtures scheduled in your local calendar day. Possible reasons:
- The tournament hasn't started yet. Kickoff is 11 June 2026 in Mexico City — Mexico vs South Africa opens the show. Until then, this page will be empty most days.
- Group stage rest day. Even during the group stage there are occasional days with fewer or no matches as the schedule rotates between cities.
- Knockout-round rest day. The knockout phase has built-in rest days between rounds (e.g., 12–13 July between the quarters and semis).
- Your timezone shifts the calendar. A late-night kickoff on the US West Coast may already be the next day for European or Asian viewers — check the main schedule to see the full picture in your local time.
