Editorial Standards

Last updated: May 9, 2026

MyWorldCupTime is an independent editorial publication. We aim to provide football fans with accurate, useful, and honest coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with no commercial relationship to FIFA, broadcasters, or tournament sponsors.

Sourcing

Match schedule data is sourced from FIFA's official tournament announcements and the official tournament website. Team data, qualifying records, and historical context are sourced from FIFA records and reputable football reference databases. Where a fact is contested or unclear, we either omit it or state the uncertainty.

Verification cadence

The full match schedule is re-verified against official FIFA sources weekly during the buildup to the tournament, and daily during the tournament itself. The most recent verification date is shown in the site footer. Knockout-stage matchups update within 24 hours of qualifying group results being confirmed.

Editorial independence

MyWorldCupTime accepts no money, content, or in-kind support from FIFA, tournament organizers, broadcasters, governing bodies, or betting operators. The site does not run paid promotional content. Any future advertising or sponsorship will be clearly labelled. Banner advertising via Google AdSense is the only revenue source; AdSense placement is automated and does not influence editorial coverage.

Editorial judgments

Some content reflects editorial judgment rather than fact. This includes the watchability colour coding, the "fan favourite" and "must-watch fixture" labels, and the editorial commentary on team profiles and match cards. We try to make these judgments transparent and consistent. Reasonable readers may disagree, and we welcome that.

Campaigns

Stadium Grab and Take Action are editorial campaigns covering the 2026 ticket pricing controversy. They reflect the editorial position of MyWorldCupTime: that the pricing structure of the 2026 tournament has reduced access for ordinary supporters. We have no financial relationship with Football Supporters Europe or any party to the European Commission complaint, and we are not party to any proceeding.

Corrections

We correct material errors as soon as we can verify them. The full corrections log lives on a separate Corrections page. To flag an error, see Contact below.
